German Government Report on HIV/AIDS programmes in developing countries

Ninety percent of all HIV/AIDS cases are in developing countries and most of these are in Sub-Saharan Africa. This paper, which was published by The Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development, Germany, highlights the extent and scope of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in developing countries. It outlines the scope of the problem, the factors which make the pandemic so serious in developing countries, what has been done in the past to cope with the pandemic and what Germany envisages as a plan to do something about it.
